She Shows Me How Great It Is To Be Alive

15 September 2008 2 Comments

My daughter is a free-spirit (there you go mom) in the making. She is nothing like me, which is a good thing. I actually hope to become more like her. Minna Beana is very generous, loving, easy to get along with…Okay, I am and can be those things, but she doesn’t sweat the small stuff. At the tender age of four, you may wonder what she has to be so troubling; absolutely nothing. For her, life is good, as it should be for all of us. She makes flowers out of broken petals, has a sweet voice and sings songs that melt your soul (her favorite songs now are We Live by Superchick and Slow Fade by Casting Crowns - I sooooo love this group!), and is a great date (I’ll tell you later).

My discipline model had to be changed for her because loosing privileges, doing time-outs, etc. didn’t work on her like they did my oldest son who is a lot like me. Like me, he feels the loss and struggles to move on. If she looses privileges to something, then she finds happiness in what is available to her.

My husband cut the grass the other day and this is what I was able to capture. These pictures pretty much tell it all.

Minna Beana, you know why it is great to be alive? It’s because you are my granddaughter. I love you!

    I love you, Mademoiselle Minna.

You are my inspiration…(although, I can’t help but take some credit…) Free-Spirits. God Bless them all!
